Limbaugh and his wonderful AM Logic

So I was on the road to Detroit. I rarely listen to the radio, but Sean thought it might be fun to listen to a little Rush.

Limbaugh, to be clear.

Now before I get into the nitty-gritty, I must admit, his show is fun to listen to as long as you realize everything he says is utter bullshit. It's well presented utter bullshit. Give credit where credit's due.

Also, I can't find where to get a transcript of the show on Tuesday (if anyone knows, comment away) but heres a bit of paraphrased gold from the show:

So he was talking about this 80 year old women who was recently arrested for running a prostitution ring. She was a Madam. Awesome. (CNN)

Anyway, her excuse for, you know, the selling women for sex was that she needed the cash to supplement her Social Security checks. Now I thought he was taking this story into the direction of loss of decency in this country blah blah. But no. NOT EVEN.

Its Social Security Time, baby! He explains that this type of occurence is epidemic becuase of the current SS system. WHAT WE NEED IS PRIVATE ACCOUNTS! If she had been in a private account system that is being sold by Dubya she would be "living large" not forced to start a prostitution ring. He then yells his mantra, nay his new warcry (complete without any sarcasm, I should add):

I could not control my bellybusting snorts. Rush is amazing.

Also, he treats her like a hero! She has the bold entrepreneurial spirit in the tradition of the American Dream. I mean I think it goes without saying that her excuse is bullshit, becuase you don't just stumble into running an escort service. Rush acts like hookers are like on and Granny went on checked resumes and then became a Madam. Thats not how it works. Believe me, I've tried.

Anyway, Rush was fun. Hannity blew. But its good to see what these fools are spewing. Keeps my game sharp.

PS. Limbaugh is a tool.

  • illegal prostitution = illegal drugs = slave morality

  • Its about time someone "stood up" to Limbaugh (sp?) and challenged those nefarious arguments of his. All day long I'm surrounded by people who just LOVE the man, and I'm like "whatever!" but I always want to say more but sometimes its hard to figure out what to say, you know?
